A note from Chej-

I am passionate about creating art and incorporating beauty into everyday life. I don't believe the arts should be so rare that we have to travel across the country or world to go to a museum just to feel something. Art should be everywhere, in everyday objects and spaces.

 Culturally, wouldn't it be nice to be remembered in history as having beautiful and functional gardens everywhere, handmade intricately carved furniture, and awe-inspiring buildings that are actually sturdy enough to still be standing hundreds of years later?

Whatever type of art you enjoy, go pursue it. Create it, buy it, support artists, and let it remind us that life has meaning and purpose far beyond just making money and going to work. I want my children to grow up in a world filled with beauty, where everything they see is an opportunity to be creative and solve problems. 

Art can be used to heal from traumatic experiences or to take complicated historical stories and explain them in ways that would otherwise be lost. I feel very strongly that we can change the world if we learn to value the arts as much as we value left-brained talents. They are equally valuable.
